How to Configure Claris E-Mailer 2.0 for
Macintosh to Check your E-mail
To configure Claris E-Mailer for Macintosh:
Select Easy Setup from the Setup
menu. A Welcome to Claris E-mailer screen will appear.
Click Next. The window will now say Personal
Information.
Enter your name in the Name Field.
Click Next. The window will
now say Service Providers.
Click the box next to Internet.
Select Modem Port from the pull-down
menu next to Modem Connected to: (If your modem is connected to another
port, choose that port instead.)
Click Next. The window will now say Internet.
Click Next. An Internet
Account Entry window will appear. Enter the following information:
- Account name: KayeTech
- User name: Enter your name
- E-mail account: mailbox@kayetech.com
- E-mail Password: enter your password in lower case.
- SMTP server: kayetech.com
- E-mail Address: mailbox@kayetech.com
Click Save.
Click Next.
Click Done.
Claris E-Mailer is now configured to check mail from your KayeTech
account.
To check your mail:
Choose Connect now from the Mail
menu
Click next to the KayeTech entry to
place a check there.
Choose the desired actions for the mailboxes that are
checked (you can check mail from more than one account at a time.)
Click the Connect button.
Claris will connect to KayeTech's mail server and the mail servers
for any other mailboxsthat were checked and will download your mail.
